In the latter half of 2022, we adopted two cats and named them Doja and Stevens. Believing that our lives became better because of these two lovely creatures, we decided to take it as a sign to follow our dreams of opening a bar that focuses on playing jazz records. Inspired by Japanese kissatens, we began to look for sound equipment that would fit the space and the vision that we had for a small bar. We wanted the place to be an extension of our home, where people who share an interest for good music and decent drinks can drop by, say hello, and have a memorable evening.

On February 23, 2023, we opened our doors (or curtains) without much expectations, but the gods smiled down upon us and there has been no looking back since. Our Fat Cat journey so far has been so full of surprises and learnings and new friends that it's hard to imagine that it was only a dream before.
